In October 2021, the European EN 50600 standard was officially transformed into the international standard ISO/IEC TS 22237-X (Technical Specification). This new standard is now globally recognized and functionally equivalent to EN 50600, enabling data centers worldwide to be planned, built, and operated under a unified framework.
From now on, the entire data center infrastructure can be certified under a single internationally valid certificate!
📌 ISO/IEC 22237-1: General Concepts
📌 ISO/IEC TS 22237-2: Building Construction
📌 ISO/IEC 22237-3: Power Supply & Distribution
📌 ISO/IEC 22237-4: Environmental Control
📌 ISO/IEC TS 22237-5: Telecommunications Cabling Infrastructure
📌 ISO/IEC TS 22237-6: Security Systems
📌 ISO/IEC TS 22237-7: Management & Operations
Similar to EN 50600, data centers under ISO/IEC 22237 must address availability, energy efficiency, and security classifications.
As of now, Parts 1, 3, and 4 have already been officially published, while the remaining parts are still classified as Technical Specifications (TS) and will be fully integrated into the standard in the coming years.
